Moving with the Moon & Feminine Flow Full Moon Practice

Ana introduces the idea of a totally feminine approach to yoga in which you learn about her signature Moving with the Moon approach—how to adjust your yoga practice according to the four phases of the menstrual cycle (also a beneficial template to carry into menopause).
Ana will take you through a sensual Feminine Flow sequence that is especially beneficial and appropriate for the Full Moon (ovulation) phase.

Nurturing Yoga for Healthy Menstruation

There is much misunderstanding among yoga students and teachers alike as to how a woman should best practise during her menstrual period.

In this workshop you will learn how to safely and appropriately practise yoga during menstruation (the ‘Dark Moon’ phase). Ana offers the all-important ‘dos and don’ts’ for a healthy and nourishing menstrual practice.

Female yoga practitioners will gain a new appreciation of and connection with their monthly cycle. And this workshop is also appropriate for yoga teachers and teacher trainees (male and female) to understand how to confidently teach menstruating students.

Yoga for Pregnancy

This workshop is appropriate for yoga teachers and teacher trainees (male and female) to understand how to safely and confidently teach pregnant students in their general classes.

It would also be helpful for pregnant women wanting to gain a clear understanding of the guidelines around modifying their practice during their pregnancy.

You will learn the all important ‘dos and don’ts’ and receive a background understanding of when to refer a pregnant student to a specialist teacher/ practitioner.

Ana Davis’s Feminine Yoga workshops are designed for yoga practitioners or teachers who would like to deepen their understanding of how to adapt a yoga practice for the unique stages of a woman’s monthly and life cycle, including yoga for menstruation, and yoga for pregnancy.

Ana Davis Bliss Baby Yoga

Ana Davis (E-RYT 500, RPYT, Yoga Australia Registered Level 3 Senior teacher, qualified Doula, Dip. Remedial Massage, B.A. Honours) has long been passionate about exploring the benefits of yoga and meditation for women’s monthly and life cycles.

Ana has been a keen yoga practitioner since 1990, teaching yoga since 1996, and in 2005 founded Bliss Baby Yoga – offering specialised yoga teacher training courses in the areas of Prenatal, Postnatal, Restorative and Women’s Yoga. In 2013, Ana also founded Moving with the Moon which offers workshops and classes on yoga for the menstrual cycle, menopause and fertility.

Ana is currently writing her first book, “Moving with the Moon: Nurturing Yoga, Movement and Meditation for Every Phase of your Menstrual Cycle”, due for release in 2018.

Ana is a lead teacher on our Online Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training Course and Online Level 1 Fertility Yoga Teacher Training Course.
